POSITION SUMMARY
Pronto.com is looking for a rock-star Java Developer to help us build and maintain our enterprise applications. This is a hands-on role and we are seeking developers with a minimum of 2 years experience building Java web applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the engineering team to design, develop, test, and deploy new enterprise applications and enhancements to existing applications.
Participate in requirements gathering sessions, design reviews, and code reviews
Communicate status to project stakeholders
Ensure project timelines are met with high quality deliverables
Leverage Java, J2EE, Tomcat, etc., to build and maintain highly scalable, highly available, modular code
Fully document your code

QUALIFICATIONS
A self motivated, team player with excellent communication skills
Well rounded problem solving skills
BS/BA, preferably in Computer Science, with software engineering experience
Solid J2EE/server-side java experience
Strong knowledge of design patterns and software engineering best practices
Strong knowledge of SQL and MySQL Databases
Experience with Struts, Struts 2 and/or WebWorks
Experience with Perl
Experience with Web Services/Axis and/or Search Engine APIs (Google, MSN, Yahoo) a plus
Experience with JQuery and/or Dojo a plus
